OREAS 702

OREAS 702 is a new W–Bi–Mo certified reference material prepared from a blend of tungsten (WO₃) and bismuth concentrates from the Nui Phao polymetallic deposit (Vietnam), supplemented with molybdenum-bearing material, fluorite, limestone, and a granitic host matrix. This blend is designed to reflect the complex geochemical associations typical of W–Bi–Mo mineralisation systems, including elevated sulphur and fluorine.

OREAS 702 has been characterised using the following methods:

  • Borate Fusion XRF- Majors and some traces, including Loss on Ignition (LOI) at 1000 °C
  • Fluorine by ion selective electrode
  • Total S by infrared combustion furnace/CS analyser
  • Sodium peroxide fusion with full suite elemental package by ICP-OES and/or MS finish
  • 4-acid digestion for full suite elemental package by ICP-OES and MS finish

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results included under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.

Note: Analyte values are indicative only and may change when certified.
